Review Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream
Antipodes is a New Zealand natural skincare brand which is certified organic and founded on science and innovation. The range is certified Vegetarian and some products are also Vegan friendly. Antipodes has a strong environmental ethos and green beauty values. I strongly believe in focusing on what ingredients they are using but it also reassuring to know that products are free from genetically modified (GM) or genetically engineered (GE) ingredients, synthetic fillers or silicon derived ingredients, artificial colours or artificial fragrances, sodium lauryl sulfates, mineral oils, petrochemicals and animal ingredients (except honey and beeswax from living bees).
I'm immediately drawn to Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream because it contains some of my favourite ingredients – manuka (flower oil not honey making this suitable for Vegans), avocado, shea butter, rosehip, macadamia and jojoba. These are ingredients packed with nutrients plus moisturising and healing properties so ideal for sensitive, dry and mature skin. Despite the name Rejoice has a beautiful texture which initially took me by surprise as its consistency is thicker than I would have expected. That being said it is non-oily and I would not describe it as heavy or greasy. My skin has no trouble absorbing and it provides an ideal base for under make up.
My face is naturally very dry as I'm prone to eczema but Rejoice cream has tackled dry patches with ease. I happily ignore the instructions and will apply in the evenings, it works just as well overnight. The formulation does not list fragrance allergens so I have not experienced any sensitivity issues. I adore the scent of vanilla and the sugary sweet fragrance on application. The packaging is stylish and functional plus worth noting it is made from recycled aluminium. It does come in an outer box which is made from 100% biodegradable cardboard from sustainable forests.
I am very happy to recommend Antipodes Rejoice Day Cream and I can see this one being a repeat purchase for years to come. Antipodes is a premium brand and this is reflected in the price but I have found it excellent value for money in the long term. If you would like to purchase Antipodes skincare it is widely available in stores and online from sites like Content Beauty and Naturisimo.
Have you tried Antipodes? Do you have a favourite product from their range?
